Teams

Bucks County Dragon Boat has been made up of multiple racing teams since 2012. We have women’s and mixed teams that range from recreational to elite. We are always recruiting energetic men and women to join our organization so contact us if you would like more information regarding a 2024 Bucks Membership. Seats are limited so contact us today if interested.

2024 Bucks Dragon Boat Teams:

• Fury. Competitive women’s team located at Core Creek Park. Coached by Tommy Leonardi & Joanne Stein. Season runs March-September.
• Fearless. Recreational women’s team located at Core Creek Park. Coached by Olivia Quinn. Season runs April-September.
• Fusion. Elite women, open & mixed dragon boat program for paddlers over 40 located at Core Creek Park. Coached by Tommy Leonardi and managed by Chris & Jacquelyn Wetzel. This team races locally, nationally and internationally and participates in multiple dragon boat races throughout the season. Season is on going and outrigger paddling is highly recommended for members of this team. Off-season training is mandatory to be a member of Fusion and requires a tryout. Prior dragon boat experience is required and a coach’s recommendation is needed.
• Freedom. Our dragon boat program located at Lake Galena in Peace Valley Park in Doylestown, PA. Community women’s and mixed teams. Season runs May-September. Coached by Christine Kerrigan, Mike Wakely, Sharon Dolan & Kim King.
