Fusion competes at the 11th IDBF Club CREW World Championships in Hungary

Bucks County Dragon Boat Association’s (BCDBA) Senior A Women’s team, Fusion, recently returned from competing at the 11th IDBF Club Crew World Championships in Szeged, Hungary. The event was July 17-22, 2018 and drew teams from all over the world. 6,000 athletes were in attendance this year, making this the most attended IDBF Club Crew World Championships in history. Teams from the United States, Germany, Hungary, Australia, China, Iran and Canada (just to name a few) competed at this event.

BCDBA Fusion represented Bucks County with pride and raced amazingly well for their debut. The team came in 8th out of 16 Senior A Women’s teams, set multiple PR’s (personal records) and competed against world powerhouses like Canada, Germany and Australia. The IDBF Club Crew World Championships are held on every even year at a different location around the world. In 2016, this event was held in Adelaide, Australia and in 2020 it will be in France. Fusion is already setting plans in motion for representing Bucks County again at the 12th IDBF Club Crew World Championships in France in 2020.
