Bucks Dragon Boat is proud to now offer Dragon Boat Team Building Packages and can arrange an outing with your company, organization or group. It can be a single event or in conjunction with a conference or retreat.
What is Dragon Boating? Dragon boating is one of the fastest growing water sports! It is a team water sport that originated in China and involves a crew of paddlers sitting in a long, narrow boat and paddling in unison to propel the boat forward. It is a popular activity with races held around the world. A typical dragon boat holds a drummer, a steersperson and 20 paddlers paddling to cross the finish line in synchronization and faster than the competition. It is the ultimate team sport with distances including 200 meters, 500 meters and 2000 meters. Dragon boating requires teamwork, strength, and coordination making it a fun and challenging activity for your group.
Who we are. Bucks Dragon Boat is a 501(c)(3) volunteer dragon boat organization founded in 2012 with the vision to promote the sport of dragon boating in Bucks County and its surrounding areas. We are made up of multiple dragon boat teams ranging from recreational to elite and have won many local and National championships over the years.
Where would your event be held? Bucks Dragon Boat’s practice site is located on picturesque Lake Luxembourg at Core Creek Park in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Our address is 901 Bridgetown Pike, Langhorne, PA 19047. Plenty of free parking available, covered picnic pavilions and bathrooms on site.
What is the Team Building Program? If you are looking for a fun and exciting team building event, there is no other comparison to working together in a 41-foot long dragon boat! Our program is designed to to enhance the participants’ value of teamwork and camaraderie in a fun, fast paced, outdoor environment. No previous experience of dragon boat racing is required as full training and safety briefings will be provided. We host events mainly in the Summer and Fall months on any day of your choosing. Please contact us for availability. Bucks Dragon Boat will provide all requisite equipment and your event lasts a minimum of 2 hours.
What your event includes: When you book a team building event with Bucks Dragon Boat, you will receive professional event management, use of dragon boats, paddles & PFD’s. We provide fully qualified steers, drummers and coaches, race marshals, timing officials and safety boat. Your event includes professional photos and a specially designed dragon boat medal awarded at the Medal Ceremony. Your dragon boat team building event will include water safety and technique briefing, intro to dragon boating on-water coaching, and 3 exciting races! You can add on items like team shirts, covered pavilion rental, breakfast and catered lunch for your group, tent and chair rentals, etc. to make your group outing extra special!
